Great Deals at blu-rayboxsets.com : Harts War $9 bucks! Plus More!

Guaranteeblu-rayboxsets.com  is becoming a very great place to buy from, ran through secure Amazon checkout and 100% customer satisfaction guarantee from the owner is a definite plus in my book.  Not only that but it has some great deals if you keep your eyes open so favorite the site and check back on a regular basis.

Today I noticed it had Harts War for only $9 bucks, and quite a few sellers at that, so your bound to get your copy!  I recently bought the title and it cost me around $15!! It’s one hell of a movie if you haven’t already seen it.  Bruce Willis is tremendous as always and Colin Farrell, well, he’s Colin Farrell, so he’s sure to make your girls heart melt :p  Click Here! for a direct link.  A great movie at a great price, this one should be in your collection without question.

Die Hard CollectionThe next great deal I happened to see while scouring the site was Mr. John McClane himself! Yes, again Bruce “What you talking bout!?” Willis.  The Die Hard collection, a must, especially if you grew up in the 90’s :) This set still retails for like damn near $125 at Best Buy, and I believe right around $100 at wal-mart.  However, at blu-rayboxsets.com they have it for $55 bucks new and as alow as $47 bucks used.  Incredible savings that makes you wanna smack yo’ momma, or perhaps just scream out “Yipee Ki-ay Mother F@#ker” CLICK HERE! for a direct link to the Die Hard Collection.

Prison Break Season One And if your not looking to get your fix of Bruce Willis then another great deal would be that of Prison Break Season One.  They have multiple copies used around the $30 range!!! However, if its new you want then they have those for around $41 bucks and up!  Over 50% off savings, and these are just a few of the movies I checked out on http://www.blu-rayboxsets.com so there are plenty more great deals for you to discover, so what are you waiting for? Build that collection! :) CLICK HERE! for a direct link to Prison Break.

Cheap Blu’s For Americans & Canadians Alike!

I hadn’t heard of this site till lately, but boy was I surprised at some of the price points.  Now before you scold me, I will admit, alot of their titles are out of stock, maybe damn near around 50% of them at that.  However with a couple hundred to choose from it still leaves plenty.  Not to mention I just discovered this site, who’s to say they may not be back in stock in a short period of time.  *shrug*  I know, I know, what site already!?!?!  http://www.sigelectronics.com

Now, here is the tip/trick to ordering.  I noticed their cheapest shipping cost is 7.99 because they ship flat rate.  So its 7.99 to US or Canada (They do however do ship worldwide but the shipping is alot more)  7.99 is not bad when say ordering, 2-5 movies.  However, 7.99 is horrid if just ordering one.  They have movies on there that are practically new releases at 14.99, the Paramount titles are insanely cheap, just not in stock (and this could be getting instock again soon as we all know of the paramount switch to blu) They did have “The Messengers” in stock for like 9.99 may have been 12.99, dont hold me to it, but they do have plenty of out of stock titles at 9.99.

All in all, I guess its a site to check up on as you could be in for some hella savings once most goes back in stock, as they had alot of titles at 12.99.   Click HERE for instance and you will see King Of New York with lawrence fishbourne and christopher walkin for 12.99 and its in stock.  So when more titles come in stock (unless you like what they have in stock.) you can get about 4 titles for around 50 bucks shipped, with no taxes.  Not bad at all.  So keep an eye out folks.

Here is a direct link to their blu-ray section.

Blu-Tuesday! : New Releases!

No need to feel blu, as its Super Tuesday still, and for those of us about to get out of school or work alot of us are headed to our retail electronics store of choice!

I’d like to snag 30 Days of Night but I’m thinking of holding off on it maybe for a while as I did happen to see it in theaters.

So yeah, its pretty fresh on my mind so I may hold off a month or two and catch an internet deal or sale on it elswhere before addding it to my collection as their are a couple of titles I want next week and plenty of “Must-Haves” in the month of March.

However, I thought it was great film for the vampire genre, and I’m not a big fan of horror movies per se.  Course, maybe this isnt particularly classified as horror, well, it probably is, but I happen to have sub-categories in my head in each classfication, so this one falls more in the Horror/Vampires category for me.

Never the less, this is the “One” to buy this week in my eyes, even though im passing on it :-p for now haha.  Temptation AHHHHH!!

Sooooooo, this week here’s what we got!

Blu-ray

  • 30 Days Of Night (Sony)
  • Initial D (Tai Seng)
  • Justice League: The New Frontier (Warner)
  • Led Zepplin: The Song Remains The Same (Warner)
  • Over America : In HD (Topics)
  • Over California : In HD (Topics)
  • To Kill A King (Starz)

Well, I guess if your a Led Zepp fan your prolly gonna be driving like a mad man jammin out going to pick that one up, while comic book fans alike will be diving for the Justice League BD.  I still wanna pick up that Marvel one that came out a while back.

As always, I didnt post any spoilers, wouldnt that ruin your movie night :-p

42″ Hitachi Plasma 1080i Television - $899

That’s right my friends, one of the cheapest deals I’ve seen in a while, that is not a “Wal-mart” brand tv.  (IE: Vizio, LG, Insignia, westinghouse)  Now those brands may not be owned by Wal-mart but I’ve seen plenty of wal-mart tvs and the overall opaqueness of the display just bothers me.  The phillips I have no quams with.  On the other hand I’m not a huge hitachi fan but for this price if your looking for a quick way into the hi-def world and at 1080p then this here is bang for your buck.  Would be a nice bedroom tv as well, if you already have your living room set up completed.

EDIT: I recieved a comment claiming this could possibly be an error in the aspect of it being 1080i and not 1080p so I would suggest you check and get it confirmed before ordering.

Xbox 360 to get a Blu-ray drive!?!

I heard it, she heard it, he heard it, hell, we’ve all probably heard the rumors that were flying about a month ago of Microsoft possibly adopting Blu-ray technology.  Well, the rumors are not 100% confirmed yet but it has been confirmed by smarthouse citing talks with USA Microsoft Insiders that Microsoft’s blu-ray add on is already FULLY DESIGNED and could be on the market within 3 months! Subject to internal marketing and sales approval.

With the news of their being prototypes that have been fully designed and tested, the technology is there.  How does Sony feel about this though?  They stated “We couldnt be happier that Microsoft is considering making the switch to the winning side of the HD disc battle.  We would welcome Microsoft to the blu-ray stable.” That from the mouth of SCE Managing Director Michael Ephraim.

Those are the facts of what has been stated, so its very close to happening.  Rumor has it that it would also take on a built in blu-ray drive for future productions of Xbox 360’s.

HD-DVD No More ; Universal Prepares for Blu-ray!

Well as the news has been buzzing around the internet lately Toshiba officially withdrew from the hi-def media market with the President Atsutoshi Noshida claiming “We concluded that a swift decision was best.” The cause of this?  “We felt the the switch made by Warner Bros. made this inevitable.” he said.

With bad news comes great news, atleast in the eye of the beholder, and I am one of the beholders, as a long since supporter of Blu its nice to see this come to a close.  The benefits?  Universal and Paramount!  President Craig Kornblau from Universal has already released a statement stating.  “While Universal values the relationship and close partnership we had with Toshiba its time to turn our focus to releasing new titles and catalog releases on blu-ray.”

No details have yet to be given on which releases are planned for 2008 but today is a day for all of hi-def media goers to celebrate as now the choice is clear, Blu-Ray!  Less confusion to the consumer as to which Hi def player they should buy should help bring the costs of the BD players down by years end.

Toshiba’s Shares Surge with talks of Surrender of HD-DVD format.

Well wouldnt you know, with talks of Toshiba dropping the HD-DVD format their shares surged 45 yen.  This is all on the wake of Wal-mart going blu-ray exclusive along with Netflix last week.  One of the biggest tale-tale signs though is that Japanese tv has reported that Toshiba has halted all production of HD-DVD players and recorders.  Its getting close to the end now, if only HD-DVD were smart enough to market the technology now as a storage medium they might be able to save face.
