A Camera That Can See Through Clothes

LOOK INTO MY EYE! AH!Well Our good ol’ friends in Britain have created/developed a camera that can detect weapons, drugs, and explosives underneath peoples clothing from up to 80 feet away!  Thruvision working collaborately with the European Space Agency have created the T5000 camera which uses passive imaging technology to identify objects through their natural electromagnetic rays.

People emit low levels of electromagnetic radiation that can pass through walls and clothing and the T5000 can distinguish the different types of T-ray waves without exposing a person to harmful radiation like associated with X-ray screening.

Thermal LookThese cameras use security and military applications that can detect hidden dangerous metallic and non-metallic items even when people are moving at a fast pace.  ThruVision believes the T5000 will increase security in largely crowded places, and possibly speed up places like airports.

This is some pretty cool technology that i figured I’d let yall in on, oh and by the way, it doesnt undress the person :P

SOOPER DOOPER BLU-TUESDAY~!

BLU-RAY!Easily the best release date of 2008 thus far.  Packed with blockbusters and chart toppers.  March 11th has been a date highly anticipated by blu enthusiasts, myself included.  I’m counting down the minutes till I get off work and can pick up a couple of these titles, but more than likely I will find the oh so common trend of the “Sold Out” new blu.

It’s really starting to get annoying, sure its great for blu, but it wasnt too long ago where I would have no problem getting my copy.  What in the world could be causing this attrocious event?  Uhm, how about the wide spread reality of Blu’s new found popularity, especially with HD-DVD out the way.   Then again, the stores could just order more ;-) and this is mostly in reference to Best Buy.  Yeah, I said it. (I’ve visited multiple stores, in multiple states!) C’mon, learn to anticipate!

Now before I get carried away, here’s a little list of todays releases :)

  • Appleseed Ex Machina
  • August Rush
  • Dan In Real Life
  • Dogma
  • Gattaca
  • Hitman : Unrated
  • I, Robot
  • Independence Day
  • No Country For Old Men
  • Sleuth

$15 Blu’s 36 Titles To Choose From!

Buy.com has some blu’s on sale for now.  Alot of them are titles that were on sale at JR.com for 11.99 when they had their blu-ray blowout sale.  However, JR charged for shipping and it pretty much came out to the same price as these.  How?

Because Buy.com gives you free shipping so long as your order is over $25.00, with that being said, 2 movies = 30.00 free shipping.  Where as the JR deal was 2 movies = $24 with about $6 in shipping.  So all in all this is a very good deal as well.

Oh and if you just happen to have never used the google checkout method of payment then you can get another $10 off.

So have a blast, waste some money! :P

PS3 Games $34.99 Sale Ends On The 9th!

Our buddies at SigElectronics have been having a great sale this weekend on PS3 games with them going from 19.99 - 34.99 in celebration of their grand opening in Canada.  Fortunately, this sale applies to online as well, and they ship to the states for flat rate 7.99.  Soooooo, get what you can before they go out of stock, as alot of titles are but they do update time to time as I saw Warhawk go “Out” and “In” stock a couple of times.

I was able to pick up Kane & Lynch and Timeshift, and with shipping to the states it cost me $77 bucks for the two.  The choices are slim now but hopefully they will have one more update of stock before Sunday nights end.

MacBook Air 40,000 - Vertu Cell Phone 88,000

A complete flip from listing great deals I thought I would amuse you with the prices on these puppies.  But hell, if you got money just flowing out your ass or your name is Steve Jobs or Brad Pitt then maybe this is a great deal for you ;-)  How in the hell could those 2 items cost so much? Well Diamonds and gold crusted crystals ofcourse :p

12,000 swarovski crystals cover the mac book air that all of which have a 24 kt gold surface for that extra bling!  Rightfully so its been deemed “The Golden Age” and only 20 have/will be produced.  One of which is on display in Germany at CeBIT 2008.  It takes a week to apply all the crystals by hand and takes the value of the lap top from 3,00o to 40,000 lord knows what it must retail for, unless that  is calculated in. *shrug*  What do you do when you want to update your memory? Better be careful unscrewing that or you might pop off a couple thousand in crystals :p

Now, if you thought a 40K laptop was alot how about this Vertu Cell Phone, 88k!!  Rumor has it Brad Pitt owns one along with David Beckham.  Vertu makes some of the most exclusive luxurious phones in the world and this time they did it again with this bad boy from the “Diamond Collection”

It consists of 18 carat yellow or white gold set with pave diamonds as well as a platinum handset with a .25 ct solitare diamond.  Each handset takes a craftsmen 7 days to complete because they set over 700 dimaonds by hand.  They’re only producing 200 of these phones so you better act fast :p  It will be sold in select jewlery stores.  Oh, and for all that money, can you believe it lacks a camera, but it does boast that it can text, HA!

Super Crazy Blowout deal on 56′ Samsung Slim DLP 1080p HDTV 50% Off!!!

56' Samsung 1080p HDTV DLPI was pretty blown back when I saw this deal, its incredible!  I myself basically own the same tv but its a 61′ as opposed to this 56′.  However, mine cost more than double this price!  :(  What a steal this is,  its from buy.com Click Here! for a direct link.  $1,149.99 but that’s not all … FREE SHIPPING!  Keep in mind, this is a tv that retails at 2,299!  I’m sure some of you are wondering “WHY?” well more than likely its because Samsung is trying to clear inventory of the past years models, they seem to have this trend as I’ve seen.  So take advantage, or you can wait and then pay double the price for a tv that may be 1 milimeter thinner :P

Anytime you can get yourself a 50 inch plus, DLP 1080p HDTV for around a 1,000 bucks your getting a deal, especially when its a Samsung!  Samsung makes great TVs in my honest opinion, its all I’ve ever bought and never had a problem *knocks on wood*  I figured this was a great article for me to write about as my last two HDTV’s over the years have been Samsung and I basically own a model similar to this, and its a fantastic deal.

With that being said, here’s a little bit about the specs.  First and foremost the tv boasts that it is 3D Ready,  mine, like this one has the same spec.  I spoke to a Samsung Rep and they claimed that by the end of Xmas 07′ they would be releasing these like super duty 3d glasses, that supposedly would hold a retail price around the $200 range.  I haven’t heard anything since, so more than likely, like most products they get delayed.  Anyways, thats a good spec to have for your tv to make you feel a little bit comfortable of it being future proof.  Bottom line, this TV can display 3D games, movies, and other programming via 3d compatible glasses and hardware.

SRS TruSurround XT - Is SRS technology that plays 5.1 content over 2 speakers, and believe it or not, it does it exceptionally well, sometimes I feel like just the tv speakers alone can do the job as compared to my sound system (but ofcourse my surround sound system does need some updating.)

Brilliant Color II - Provides brightness increase in non-primary colors, which in turn boosts the overall color and intensity.

All in all, this is a great deal, and something you could definitely be satisfied with.  Oh, and a much needed feature in todays world, 3 HDMI ports :)
