42″ Hitachi Plasma 1080i Television - $899
That’s right my friends, one of the cheapest deals I’ve seen in a while, that is not a “Wal-mart” brand tv. (IE: Vizio, LG, Insignia, westinghouse) Now those brands may not be owned by Wal-mart but I’ve seen plenty of wal-mart tvs and the overall opaqueness of the display just bothers me. The phillips I have no quams with. On the other hand I’m not a huge hitachi fan but for this price if your looking for a quick way into the hi-def world and at 1080p then this here is bang for your buck. Would be a nice bedroom tv as well, if you already have your living room set up completed.
EDIT: I recieved a comment claiming this could possibly be an error in the aspect of it being 1080i and not 1080p so I would suggest you check and get it confirmed before ordering.

Check any other site for the model Hitachi P42H401 and it says that it’s a 1080i TV not a 1080p TV. Still a good price, but it doesn’t appear to be advertised correctly.
